When to Order Your Wedding Album: A Simple Timeline
There's no strict deadline for making your wedding album — but there is a sweet spot. Order too early and you won't have your photos yet; wait too long and it slips down the to-do list for years. Here's a simple timeline.
Step 1: wait for your gallery
The clock really starts when your photographer delivers your edited gallery — usually 4–8 weeks after the wedding. Once you have those images, you have everything you need to start. There's no reason to wait beyond that.
Step 2: design and shipping
With a designed-for-you service like ours, the timeline is short: you upload your photos, our team hand-designs the book in about 1–3 days, you approve it, and it ships in 5–7 business days. From upload to doorstep is typically under two weeks.
Planning around a date
Want it in hand for your first anniversary or as a gift? Work backward and give yourself about two weeks before the date — a few days for design and your review, plus shipping. For the first-anniversary angle specifically, see our paper anniversary gift ideas.
Don't let it sit too long
The most common "mistake" is simply never getting around to it. The photos are already the hard part — once your gallery is in, making the album is the easy step. When you're ready, you can start your book in a few minutes, or read what to include in a wedding album first.
